About

I’m a passionate Software Developer at Poker S.p.A., an Italian software house specialized in ERP (we maintain Quasar-X) and CRM software (we are SugarCRM‘s Bronze Partner).
I started playing with computers when I was 14yo : I bought an amazing Commodore 64 quickly upgraded to a Commodore 128.
Growing up I jumped into the DOS world, with an “XT” Personal Computer (8088 CPU, 640Kb RAM and two 5″1/4 floppy drives), actually beginning my developer’s career writing my first Pascal programs (with Borland Turbo Pascal) at school. At the beginning I thought Pascal was a great and irreplaceable language, but soon…
I choose my way doing a lot of software development with Clipper, Visual Basic, COBOL, C, C++, C#, Java, Uniface 4GL…. Finally, I discovered the Web, so I started working with ASP.Net and PHP.
After many years of (a bit of) Unix and (a lot of) DOS/Windows (and development with MS tools) I become interested in Linux, and was love at first sight. Thanks to Linux I moved my first steps into OpenSource philosophy, slightly changing the way I see things, turning from a “Proprietary” perspective into an “Open” one (my notebook runs Ubuntu Linux and my smartphone is Android-based, while my tablet is… well, this is another story !).
Hope You’ll enjoy reading my blog !
